Which category for website URLs and logins
Good day. I have just purchased two "sets" of 1 Password programs so that there is no confusion with the family sharing issue
a) For me on my MacBook Pro and iPad mini
b) For my wife on the iMac, Macbook and iPad.
On the iOS both will be the Pro versions.
I will be setting up a "shared vault" from my program that we will synchronize with Dropbox.
Both main / principal vaults will be synchronized with Dropbox also.
So far so good !
One of the major things that we both need to do is to store the URLs of many different web sites with the existing logins and passwords.
However, I can not see from the user guide neither from the list appearing inside the open 1 password program how to do this. What steps do I need to do to do this? How do I add an image like the "amazon" image I see in the example ?
I will stop here as without an answer to this question I cannot proceed, noting of course that other questions may follow...
Thank you.
P.S. Web browser extensions will be installed a little later as I begin to master the program !!
1Password Version: 5.3
Extension Version: None
OS Version: Not Provided
Sync Type: Dropbox

Oh... OS X 10.10.3. I had seen this proposed in the box under the email and assumed there was no need to type it !

Hi @Flute_Expert,
I'm happy to hear you and your wife are starting to use 1Password on your Macs and iOS devices!
To store information about website accounts, you'll want to create Login items in 1Password. You mentioned you haven't installed the 1Password browser extension yet, but using the extension is actually the best way to save Login items in 1Password. So you'll probably want to do that first: Installing browser extensions
Once you have the extension installed, you'll be able to easily save new Login items by following the steps here: Saving a Login
And once you've saved Login items in 1Password, you can use them by following these steps: Using a saved Login
That might seem like a lot of steps, but they should all be pretty easy, and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quickly! :)
How do I add an image like the "amazon" image I see in the example ?
When you create new Login items, they should automatically download the icon from our image server. In the main 1Password app, just make sure the "Show Rich Icons" option is enabled in the View menu. If any Login items are missing a rich icon, that means we haven't added it to our image server yet, but you can add a custom icon if you want to.
Hopefully this helps, but we're here for you if you have more questions! :)
