HELP !! Problems due to restore on Mac and now Dropbox out of sync
I restored a backup on my Mac I had to re-able my primary vault sync with Dropbox again. When I selected "Continue" in Preferences/Sync/Sync Primary vault with Dropbox? nothing happened.
I found this thread https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/39885/1password-wont-allow-me-to-select-dropbox-vault and did the same and on the Mac it is fine now. Yet on iOS (Phone and iPad) I disabled Dropbox sync to reset the process but after that I get a message "Vault Mismatch" (it appears that the data in the Primary vault is different from the vault you selected in Dropbox. WE recommend not to merge theses vault.
How can I solve this ?
Thanks of your help :)
1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: latest
OS Version: 10/10/4
Sync Type: Dropbox

Hi @mgshoutman ,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble keeping thing synced up! It's great to hear that you were able to get your Mac sorted out by following directions in this forum.
Now, for iOS, we should be able to sort this out fairly simply. That warning you see might be a little bit overly dire. Have you tapped on the 'More Info' button? This will show you the exact item differences between the vaults. Often the difference might only be a few items (which is expected if the vaults have been out of sync for a while.) If the difference isn't humungous, you can go ahead and select the 'merge anyway' option. 1Password is generally pretty great at merging items. In the event that it cannot determine which edits to an entry are newer, it will save the conflicting details in a 'conflict' section within the item to ensure that no data is lost.
If the vault mismatch is significant and you would rather not merge, please let me know and we can consider other options.

Hi Megan, thanks you of your fast and kind reply. The difference in items is only one 922 (mac) versus 921 (iPhone/iPad) so I did not hesitate to choose "Merge anyway" on both devices.
After that "Last Sync" was in progress for quite a while and on my iPad I got a message"Sync Errors" Failed to delete remote path. Dropbox asked us to delay the sync. Resuming shortly. Path: 1Password/1Password.agilekeychain/data/default/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.ABCDEFGHJJ (Mycomputername conflated copy-2015-07-02.1password.
On my iPhone I get the same message
See also al to of Dropbox notification activity on my Macs Notification Center.
So after a few minutes I tried again on both again but still not go.
Hope this info helps :)

Hi @mgshoutman ,
It sounds to me like we might just need to start fresh with a nice, new keychain. Let's try this:
On your iOS devices, open 1Password for iOS, tap Settings > Sync > Sync Service, and tap Disable Sync.
On the Mac, open 1Password for Mac, and click the 1Password menu, then Preferences. Click Sync, and click Change syncing.
Check the box to remove the data from Dropbox and confirm that you want to disable sync.
Reboot the Mac and iOS devices.
Check your Dropbox folder and delete any other 1Password folders or files that the remove data checkbox did not take care of.
On the Mac, go back to the Sync preferences, and click Dropbox. Click Choose vault, then navigate to your Dropbox folder and select Open. This will regenerate a 1Password folder in Dropbox, and that will contain a new 1Password.agilekeychain file.
Allow Dropbox to fully sync.
Go back into the iOS app and re-enable Dropbox sync.
That should get everything on the same page for sure. (Please note, if you do have a larger keychain - 922 items might qualify! - make sure that you give Dropbox some time to sync that keychain across all of your devices.)

Megan,I did what you asked and rwbooted all devices. saw in Dropbox app on both OS X and iOS that no 1Password.agilekeychain was present anymore and created a new one.
On OS X everything seems fine but after enabling Dropbox on iOS (both iPhone and iPad I got again the message: "Vault Mismatch" (it appears that the data in the Primary vault is different from the vault you selected in Dropbox. WE recommend not to merge theses vault.
AS both Vault had the same data number i.e. 921 I did merge the data and got message: Failed to upload file to Dropbox,.Dropbox asked us to delay the sync. Resuming shortly. Path: Password/1Password.agilekeychain/data/default/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.ABCDEFGHJJ.1password.

Also interesting that the new 1Password.agilekeychain is much smaller than the old one. 76,9 versus 14.7 but that could have another reason as it was first created years ago :)
I also see Dropbox Notification in OS X Notification Center that MyName Conflicted .... is removed..

just another guess: why not de-installing 1Password on iOS again after disabling Dropbox sync ?

Good grief, it is finally working after numerous attempts and 45 minutes later, thanks Megan for helping me out. :)

I'm so glad things are working well now, @mgshoutman! Thank you for following up to let us know. :)
If you have any further trouble, please don't hesitate to get back in touch.

Indeed. It can take some time for Dropbox to sync everything completely, depending entirely on the connection and their servers.
Also, the older vault probably had a number of trashed items hanging around (or conflict files from Dropbox sync), so a fresh vault will generally be a bit leaner. Cheers! :)
