My daughter, Maggie M. Owens, died on June2. she managed 1password for the family and we
do not have the password to her 1password (or her keychain) on her computer. So we cannot pay
our bills etc.,...or notify her friends. we desperately need access to her 1 password !
our needs are urgent, thank you, John D. Owens

    @johnowens,

    I really am sorry for your loss, I can't even begin to imagine how tough it is for you and the rest of the family at the moment.

    Unfortunately I am unable to offer even the smallest reprieve to the stress that must be mixed in with everything else that you're feeling right now. In 1Password the vault is only stored on the device or devices that the user specifically sets up and only the Master Password will allow access. There is no backdoor or ability for us to reset a password. Any such feature would be an exploitable hole and so for reasons of security they do no exist. In 1Password for Mac you are required to supply a hint which should be displayed after three failed attempts to unlock the vault. If that hint gives no insight then sadly the chances are extremely remote. More on the specifics of this can be found on our page, I lost or forgot my Master Password. Help! but it doesn't look good.

    I wish there was something we could do and I'm sorry we couldn't assist in this already tragic time.
