Automated Bug Report Dialog doesn't go away
1Password
Version 5.3 (530029)
Mac App Store
When I attempted to clear the search text with Voice Over enabled, the automated crash reporting dialog box was displayed after selecting the option to automatically restart. After sending in the report with my contact information and a short description of when this crash occurred, the dialog box does not go away and all the buttons are grayed out. The only way to get rid of this dialog box is to manually quit 1Password and start it up again.

@ZamboniMan: Ahh, this happens to me all the time on OS X, but until you mentioned it it didn't occur to me that it might be related to VoiceOver. For the life of me I can't remember why I have it enabled, but I do!
The crash reporter is built into OS X though, so I'm afraid there may not be anything that 1Password can do there (after all, it's crashed!) However, if it happens again, use the 1Password Troubleshooting tool to generate a diagnostic report and send it to support+forums at agilebits dot com so we can look at the logs to see if we can learn anything useful. Just be sure to include a link to this forum thread and your username in the email so we can 'connect the dots'. Cheers! :)

@brenty, I forgot about the troubleshooting tool but I will generate a diagnostic report the next time it happens.

Thanks @ZamboniMan! If the problem happens again, hopefully we'll be able to find something in that diagnostic report, or at least confirm whether or not there's anything we can do about it from our end.

I just saw the same thing in the latest beta, and I do not have VoiceOver enabled...

I saw this yesterday after installing beta 22 and it crashed after is entered my master password. The beta crashed one other time, and the dialog for submitting the crash report behaved correctly that time. Then the crashing disappeared altogether.

Hi @ssh,
Could you give us a bit more detail on what you're seeing here? I just want to clarify if you're seeing the same thing as the original poster (in that "the dialog box does not go away and all the buttons are grayed out.") If you are, please follow Brenty's advice and send in a Diagnostics Report, just so we can determine if there is anything that we can improve.
If you're simply seeing a standard crash in the latest beta, this is an issue that our developers are investigating already. The workaround for this is to revert to the stable version of 1Password if the crash happens so continuously that you are unable to use the app. (Several users have reported that this issue goes away after a couple of crashes, so if this issue has resolved itself for you, you're welcome to continue using the betas.)
