Creating a new Primary Vault on a Mac that had previously been sync'd with two other Macs and a PC
I have three MacBooks and a PC laptop all running 1Password sync'd to the same primary vault through DropBox. I want to setup the third Macbook with it's own primary vault and without any of the data from the other primary vault. I will refer to the third MacBooks as "M3".
I stopped the 1Password sync on M3 and deleted the 1Password application and all other references to 1Password files that I could find. I also removed the link to Dropbox on M3. I also removed the browser extensions for both Safari and Firefox, which are the only browsers installed; Safari is the default browser.
I then downloaded the 1Password application (1Password-5.3.2.zip) and reinstalled the software. After the installation, 1Password requested a password, which turns out to be the password associated with the original primary vault and the data (logins, etc are still available and useable).
I'm guessing the 1Password primary vault is still on M3, in a location that I cannot delete, and is not removed by a system shutdown.
What do I need to do differently or in addition to have M3 with its own primary vault?

Your 1Password 5 license entitles you to use 1Password 3 and 4 as well. Your 1Password 3 license key is [license key removed by admin]. 1Password 4 uses the same license file as 1Password 5.0 -
Hi,
This article from the User Guide shows the locations of the data that needs to be moved from its install location. Following those steps should resolve the problem you're experiencing.
