What data is kept/lost during sync between Mac and iOS version of 1Password?
I recently purchased a license for my Mac version of 1Password and now I want to sync the data of my Mac with the data on my iOS (iPhone/iPad) version of 1Password. However, I'm sure that some of the data on my Mac version is different (and in some cases, more up to date) from what is on my iOS version. Which version would take precedence during a sync? Will any of the data be lost during the sync on either version of 1Password?
1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: 4.3.1.90
OS Version: 10.10.3
Sync Type: Dropbox

Hi,
You'll most likely receive a "Vault Mismatch" error message. Here's the section in the User Guide that explains what this error means. As far as data lost during sync, no data is deleted, you may end up with duplicates but not deletions.

Thanks. I wanted to be sure that I didn't lose any of the newest data after the merge. I would hate to basically start over and be forced to reset a ton of passwords in all the different websites.

Hi @demeaj,
I hope the “Vault Mismatch” article that @JWeaver helpfully linked to answered your questions. If you've got any others please be sure to ask!
Before merging, as the article recommends:
…, we ask that you please back up the 1Password vaults on all your devices.
For Mac and iOS, there's also information about manually creating backups in these How do I find where my backups are kept? sections of the How do automatic backups work in 1Password? article:
Never hurts to create "safety net" backups before making changes that you know could, or will, significantly alter your 1Password data. :)
