Lost Masterpassword; de-installed, re-installed and still I am prompted to enter my Masterpassword

HI,
I lost my Masterpassword.
I want to set up 1password new and create a new password.
Therefore, I deleted the app from my mac (to trash).
I re-installed from apple's Appstore.

However, when starting 1password after installing, i am asked for my Masterpassword again.
Can you please help me.

    In all likelihood, your old vault is still there, which your new installation detects.

    Follow these directions for starting over with a new vault, and you should be fine.

    Hi @hello123,

    I'm sorry you're having trouble starting over with 1Password! Your 1Password data is not stored in the app itself, so deleting the app doesn't delete your data. However, the steps from the link in hawkmoth's message will help you with that.
