    Hi,

Merging the two vaults isn't a difficult process but accurate instructions will require some additional information.

    • Do you use 1Password on multiple devices/computers?
    • Do you plan to use only one of those services for syncing your 1Password data?

@Maerzke: Indeed. Are you trying to merge two vaults on the same computer, or separate vaults on separate devices? The more information, the better! Please let me know what you find. We will get this sorted out for you! :)

Wow, thanks for the interest. Use multiple Mac devices. "Primary" vault (78) syncs on iCloud & "1 Password" vault (95) syncs with Dropbox. Looks the same whichever device I'm using. Guess I just need to make sure all vital logins are in the Primary vault then remove the 1 Password vault?

    Hi @Maerzke ,

Thanks for getting back to us. :)

I'm assuming that "Looks the same whichever device I'm using" means you have both of these vaults on each of your devices. So, what we want to do here is move all your items from the '1Password' vault into your primary vault, and then simply remove the extra vault on each computer. Here's what we'll do:

    1. Run a fresh backup to be sure that, no matter what happens, we can roll back to this point if necessary. You can create a fresh backup in 1Password using the File > Backup menu.
    2. Disable sync on the '1Password' vault in Preferences > Sync. You can select the option to remove this data from Dropbox, just to clean things up.
    3. Look through your 1Password vault and use the Item > Share > Primary vault > Move menu to move any items from the 1Password vault into the primary vault that you do not have in the primary vault. (You can select multiple items at a time if you wish.)
    4. Once all the items that you need have been moved into the primary vault, you can use the 1Password > Delete vault option (while viewing your 1Password vault).
    5. On your other Macs, run a backup (File > Backup), and then switch to the 1Password vault and use the 1Password > Delete vault menu option.

This will give you a single primary vault on your Macs, synced with iCloud.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
