Browser Extension Issues Chrome
I am no longer able to fill out forms with Chrome using version 45. It will work in 43.0.2357.132 but not the beta channel.
I have tried both the keyboard shortcut and using the extension button on the toolbar.
1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: 4.4.1.90
OS Version: 10.10.4
Sync Type: Dropbox

I'm having a similar issue.. 1password extension 4.4.1.90 on Chrome 45.0.2438.3 (dev channel) on OSX 10.10.4. Auto filling of username/password fields and auto submit doesn't work on 80% of sites I have saved. I invoke the keyboard shortcut or click the entry in the menu and nothing happens.

Hi @jboaty,
They may seem similar but the error we're finding here is specific to 1Password 4 for Mac and Safari. If you're running Yosemite I would assume you're running 1Password 5 for Mac along with the dev build of Chrome.
The first thing to do is first try rebooting your Mac and make sure we're not dealing with a minor glitch.
The next thing to see is if the dev build of Chrome is a factor. Would it be possible to try running the stable version at all? I ask because I've just tested the stable and both filling from the extension as well as open and fill are working for me.
If it isn't the dev build and a reboot doesn't help then something else must be interfering. We can cross that bridge if needed though, I think we should see if either of those possibilities helps first. Regardless, we'll continue working with you to figure this out

This discussion was created from comments split from: Autofill no longer working. How do I restore? The safari extension shows it is enabled. What next?.0

Hi @jboaty,
I've split off your comments from the other thread and merged them with @grshane's post as it would seem you're both referring to the same issue.
@grshane. Thank you for your report. This helps narrow down matters. I shall no go sacrifice something while I attempt to appease the beta gods of Chrome and will report back if I discover anything.

I've just tried the stable, beta and dev releases of Chrome and all worked with the 1Password Chrome Extension. I tested the following:
- open and fill from the main 1Password window
- open and fill from 1Password mini (activated via the browser extension)
- Filling of an open tab.
It all seems to be working for me so I wonder if you can both confirm a couple of things for me please.
- In Chrome can you select the menu option Chrome > About Google Chrome. Does Chrome say an update is pending? If it does then this does have a habit of disabling the extension, I believe relating to code signing.
- Try a full reboot of your Mac.
Hopefully one of those sorts this out. To allow for comparison I'm running the 4.4.1.90 Chrome Extension, the same as both of you and I tested both the stable version of the Mac App Store version of 1Password for Mac (5.3) and the beta version of the AgileBits Store 1Password for Mac (5.4.BETA-21) and I did all of this in 10.10.4.
Let us know if either makes a difference please

One interesting thing to note... I recently installed a clipboard manager app called Paste (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/paste-clipboard-history-manager/id967805235?mt=12)
I don't know why but I have a hunch that it could be related. I will uninstall it later and report back.
I don't have any chrome updates pending and this issue persists across restarts.

Hi @jboaty,
Thanks for mentioning that you have the Paste clipboard manager installed! I'm not sure that's the culprit here, but it's certainly worth disabling or uninstalling that to see if it makes a difference for the 1Password extension. Please let us know how it all goes, and if it's still a problem, we'll continue from there.

@grshane: I'm sorry to hear that. Some things it's just too good to be true, I guess! :(
The best thing to do would be to use the 1Password Troubleshooting tool to generate a diagnostic report and send it to support+forums at agilebits dot com so we can look at the logs to determine exactly what is happening. Just be sure to include a link to this forum thread and your username in the email so we can 'connect the dots'. We will get to the bottom of this! :)

I've noticed it this morning on these sites:
https://mandrillapp.com
https://heapanalytics.com/
Also PayPalI'll run those diagnostics and send it off. Thanks.

Hi @jboaty,
Thanks in advance for sending the diagnostics report! Hopefully that will help to shed some light on the problem. When you send the report, you should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and make sure you receive a reply as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance! :)

@jboaty: Indeed. While I experience this issue mainly in Safari, it does happen to me in Chrome as well. It seems like the scripting on some webpages interferes. That said, I haven't had any issues with the PayPal, and I use that site (and also portals from other sites) frequently, so it sounds like it may be something specific to your setup.
I'm not sure there is anything we can do about that in particular, but we'll certainly look into it. :)
