iCloud sync problems Primary is OK, Secondary no iCloud option to sync
1Password 5.3 purchased from AppStore + Iphone App.
I have been using 1Password with iCloud and syncing to my iPhone via iCloud successfully.
However I have now created a secondary Vault on the Mac but cannot sync it too.
If I switch to my 2nd vault - preferences - sync - sync vault with, none, dropbox, folder.
Why is there no iCloud?

You cannot use iCloud to sync a secondary vault: see this AgileBits post.

@britops: Stephen_C is correct: iCloud does not support multiple vaults, though we may add that feature in a future version. However, you can always use iCloud to sync your primary vault, and then use Wi-Fi Sync or Dropbox to sync others. I hope this helps! :)

Thanks, I must admit multiple vaults via iCloud was why I paid for the pro feature. Guess I didn't spot its limitations. I hope it is included in a future update.

Hi @britops,
It may make a future update but we can't make any promises I'm afraid - it's just our policy so we don't disappoint by breaking a promise. The reason it wasn't included by default is, I believe, because we anticipated secondary vaults being more about sharing with others than as a logical divide for a single user. Now that's exactly what my primary use of secondary vaults is, to split my business and personal items. Going back to iCloud, because iCloud does not allow the sharing of anything between accounts secondary support of vaults was never seen as a priority. Now we realise this isn't the case but like many requests it's about finding the time to get it all working.
I've added your comments as another vote to the request.

Ok, what I'm trying to do is, split my primary vault. I then want to share all my vaults between my Mac / iPhone /iPad but also with a second person who uses my Mac (with their own OS X user account) / iPad /iPhone. We've both installed pro versions on all devices. I can't get the wi-fi sync between Mac accounts on the same computer to work.

@britops: Ahh! This is the first problem I see:
IMPORTANT
Wi-Fi sync is only available between a single Mac or PC and one or more iOS devices. 1Password for Android does not support Wi-Fi syncing at this time.So you will need to use a different sync method. Since you're trying to share vaults, Dropbox is a good option. And this way you can also share some vaults without having to share all of them (since once you give it to someone you cannot take it away).
I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions! :)

Thank you. Dropbox was the answer. However I would prefer to avoid another 3rd party site to store my files. Security is a concern.

I don't know if it makes any difference or not @britops but we never store anything in either cloud service in an unencrypted form. I understand your concern of course.
This next question relates purely to non-iOS devices. Is it just this single Mac that you wish to share the vault on? We could use Folder Sync to share the vault between two OS X user accounts as long as we're careful in the setting up stage. Then you could use Wi-Fi Sync for the iOS devices and remove the need for Dropbox. Now don't get me wrong, Dropbox has a few advantages but I think we could achieve your goal and drop Dropbox if you so wish. Let us know what you think

@britops: You're very welcome! :chuffed:
Indeed! We share your concern. After all, we also have our own data to protect! Your 1Password data (and mine!) is end-to-end encrypted, so 1Password simply doesn't depend on the sync service to protect your data. 1Password is secure by design, not by chance.
So even if you were to have your Dropbox account itself compromised (and therefore someone would have access to your vault), it's encrypted, so they'll also need your Master Password to access your data. I hope this helps! :)
