Use 1Password to sign in from Chrome Extension such as Evernote Web Clipper

I am using Chrome Version 43.0.2357.132 (64-bit) and Firefox 39.0.... browser extensions such as Evernote Web Clipper need user name password sign in to activate this appears via a Browser Popup window. Also signing into my Google account acts in a similar manner and a browser popup appears.

1Password 5 does not seem to interact with such browser popups, forcing a manual sign in ????

Am I doing something wrong ?

    Hi @amcd,

With our 1Password Browser Extension we're limited to interacting with individual tabs that are loaded in the browser. My understanding of extensions is there isn't a system in place to allow them to interact with each other, probably for security reasons and that's a good thing.

I don't know about the Google account tab as I'm not normally a Chrome user myself so any extra information you can provide so I better understand would be fantastic. I'm certainly happy to look into that and see if it is the case.

I'm going to add your query as a request for Auto-Type on the Mac. The thought is a generic way of inputting certain information into any field. It would be as elegant as the extension can be but it could allow people to bypass copying and pasting.
