Two page login complication

Hi,

I have two issues with regards to two page logins;

1). I can't get it to work, plain and simple :( I've been trying to delete it and re-add it, but I couldn't get it to work so I gave up many moons ago.

2). Is it possible to get 1Password to populate dropdown menu selections? My online banking asks me to select random characters from a password which is submitted using drop down menus. Is this something that 1Password can parse and then submit the appropriate values?

    Usually you can tame uncooperative pages like those by

    Saving a Login Manually.

    Give that a try with your difficult pages.

    1Password can't parse pages that ask for a random selection of characters from within an existing password. There has been quite a lot of discussion about that here in the forum, and, as you may imagine, taking care of such pages automatically isn't trivia. I don't know if it's even possible to program that.

    What some users do to was the pain of such pages is to put their password into the Notes section of the login record in groups of 5, so that it's easier to picket manually the particular characters you want. Perhaps that will be at least of some help.

    Hi @TrapperDave,

    Hawkmoth's link to the steps to save a login manually should be helpful, and if you're having trouble with a site where the username and password are on different pages, please also take a look at this knowledgebase article: Using 1Password with login sequences split across multiple pages

    Hawkmoth is also correct about sites that ask for random characters from a password - 1Password doesn't currently support filling those. Our developers are looking into possible ways to handle that, but my understanding is that it's incredibly difficult (if possible at all) to do that. There are some suggestions in this discussion that might be helpful for you.

    I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you about that! Hopefully we'll be able to improve that in the future. If you have more questions or need anything else, please let us know. :)
