Different categories in Mac and Windows versions of 1Password
Hey guys,
I saved stuff in my windows maschine in category "Accounts". But I don't see these information on my Mac, so I wonder what is synced between the applications? Is there a map or st?
I use latest Versions on both plattforms (Windows is 7, OS x latest) and dropbox for sync.
Thanks in advance,
Peter

Hi @Peter8,
I'm sorry for the confusion with the categories! The categories you're seeing on Windows are based on the older .agilekeychain format, which is used for your 1Password data file in Dropbox. 1Password for Windows reads and writes to that data file directly, so it uses the same category structure. 1Password for Mac reads and writes to its own internal database (which has a newer category structure) and copies changes between that and the data file in Dropbox. To make a long story short, they will both eventually use the newer category structure you see in the Mac version.
Don't worry - all of your items should be in both the Mac and Windows versions of 1Password, they're just organized a bit differently. On Windows, you'll see two groups called Wallets and Accounts which contain multiple item categories. The Mac version doesn't use those groups, so the categories from the Wallet group (Bank Account, Credit Card, Driver's License, and others) are listed separately. Some categories from the Accounts group are also listed separately (such as Database, Email Account, and Wireless Router), while other categories from that group have been converted into Logins (such as FTP, Generic Accounts, and so on). Therefore, if you have any items in 1Password for Windows that you don't see on your Mac, try looking in the Logins category.
Again, I'm sorry for the confusion about all that! At some point in the future, the categories will match on all platforms. If you have more questions about that, please let us know. :)

Wow thanks for the fast and solid answer. I found my stuff within the logins! Thank you very much!
