Hi, I have an old version of 1password. Just upgraded my mac os to Yosemite. Now I cannot open 1 password. The Mac OS said that 1password is not compatible (maybe it is a too old version). Is there anyway to fix it? I have also a backup for the .1pif file. Can I at least open it using the new 1password? Thanks a lot.

    Hi @hlchan6,

How old a version are you trying to open? I ask because I've successfully used 1Password 3 and newer on my Yosemite machine. I know we've occasionally had blips where users have been misinformed by OS X and it might be a simple reboot will sort that out. If not, downloading a new copy of that version from our AgileBits Download page may also resolve the issue.

Now it may be you're entitled to run the newest version as well but I can't find a record of your purchase based on the email address you're using here in our public forums. If the last version you purchased was 1Password 3 for example then you would need an upgrade licence to run 1Password 5. This page may prove useful, I'm not sure but the page in question is I have questions about upgrading my license.

If you have any follow up questions do please ask
