1Password Helper stopped working after installing BoostSpeed [Restart 1Password Helper to fix it]

It keeps hanging on the message: "looking for the 1password helper"
1password does function properly in firefox and explorer.


1Password Version: newest
Extension Version: Chrome
OS Version: Windows 8.1
Sync Type: Dropbox

    This happens if something's blocking the communication between 1Password extensions and the 1Password Helper.

    First, do you have the main 1Password program? The program is required to work with 1Password extensions in your browsers.

    Secondly, can you tell us what kind of security programs you have installed and if you're using VPN, proxy, or any network related tools?

    The troubles started after i installed boostspeed 8. I have 1password since 2008?
    No use of VPN, proxy or network related tools.

    Hi @timverbruggen,

    That's not surprising, these tools can do some damage to your setup if not done properly.

    Can you open the main 1Password program and go to the Help Menu > Restart 1Password Helper.

    Restart your browser, any improvements?
