How to share my 1Password 5 for mac (agilebits) with my son? [Resolved]

The help pages assume I know more than I do: I need step by step instructions. How do I get my license code number to my son? Can I just forward my "License Information" email to him? What does he do with it?

Assuming that you bought your license from the AgileBits web store, since you say you have a license email message, then the answer to your question is, Yes, just forward that email to your son. He should follow the same instructions you did to apply the license.

You refer to a license code, which was used for 1Password 3. That system was replaced by a license file with the release of version 4. The license file for version 4 also works for version 5, since the upgrade from 4 to 5 was free. You apply the license file by clicking a link in that email message.

Just for clarification, though, for this to be within the license terms, your son must be living in the same household. Your single user license covered up to six family members living in the same household. It may be useful to review this link about Licensing and Upgrades.
