Want to share 1 Password between Mac, iPhones, iPad and PC -- but how?!
I have not yet purchased 1Password but wish to change from Lastpass if feasible and affordable. We have a MAcBookPro, a PC and 2 iPhones and 2 iPads. Can we share passwords and sync on wifi amongst them? If so what purchases are required? How do I begin??

@ELLENP: 1Password is licensed per-platform, so you'll need to purchase for each OS:
What licenses do I need to use 1Password on all my devices?
That said, 1Password for iOS is actually a free app which you can use on all your iOS devices. You only need to pay if you want to unlock Pro Features.
Wi-Fi Sync, however, works between a single Mac or PC and one or more iOS devices, so that won't be an option in your case it sounds like. A better option would be Dropbox Sync, which is supported in all current versions of 1Password across all platforms, and also doesn't require that a computer act as the sync server:
Sync options compared: Dropbox vs. iCloud vs. Wi-Fi
The best thing to do is take advantage of the free trial on your Mac and PC so you can 'test drive' 1Password before making a purchase. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions! :)

Thanks for your reply. I'll research Drop Box Sync. (Is Dropbox Sync the same as Dropbox?) Do you then suggest a trial of 1Password with just a few sites entered to share between platforms(with Dropbox Sync) rather than full migration of my LastPass to 1 Password?
If I go from a trial of 1Password to with a full version, or decide against 1Password, what happens to all of my info in the trial version?
Last question, is there phone support for 1Password?0 -
Hi @ELLENP,
I'm glad Brenty's reply was helpful for you!
Is Dropbox Sync the same as Dropbox?
We use those terms interchangeably sometimes, but technically speaking, "Dropbox" is the service / website / app that allows you to easily sync files between different computers an devices (their website is www.dropbox.com where you can find more information). "Dropbox Sync" is how we refer to the option in 1Password that uses Dropbox to sync your 1Password data between computers & devices.

You can save just a few Login items in 1Password at first if you want to, but it's probably easier to import all your data at once. To do that, you can use a converter utility that was created by @MrC (a very awesome user who helps out on our forums). You can find more information in this forum thread: Convert to 1Password Utility
If I go from a trial of 1Password to with a full version, or decide against 1Password, what happens to all of my info in the trial version?
The trials of 1Password for Mac and Windows are actually the full versions of the app. If you decide to purchase licenses, you'll be able to fully activate the apps by applying your license info. Even if you decide not to purchase licenses, any data you’ve added to 1Password will remain safe and accessible, even after the end of the 30 day trial.
Last question, is there phone support for 1Password?
We're a small team and don't have the means to provide inbound phone support, so we try our best to solve problems via forums or email if at all possible. If you'd prefer to contact us via email instead of these public forums, please feel free to send us a message at: support@agilebits.com
Hopefully that answers your questions, but please let us know if you need anything else. We're always happy to help! :)
