1Password mini issues on my Mac

I'm facing several issues with 1Password mini on my Apple Menu (system tray):

  1. After restarting my Mac, 1Password Mini doesn't show up in the menu - although it should according to my settings in 1Password
  2. Then suddenly, at some point in time, two instances of 1Password mini appear in the menu ... I'm confused.
  3. Sometimes (but only sometimes!), when I click on the 1Password mini icon from the menu, the first entry suggests to add the Safari extension - which I certainly have installed already.

Who can help solve my confusion?

I'm using 1Password 5.3.2 and Safari Extension 4.4.1

1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: 4.4.1
OS Version: OS X 10.10.3
Sync Type: Dropbox

I'm wondering if it's possible you have two copies of 1Password installed on your Mac. If you search for 1Password in Spotlight what result do you see?

    Hi @bluewhite7 ,

I'm suspecting the same as Stephen. It sounds like you might have more than one copy of 1Password installed. Please check in your Applications folder (or do a search in Spotlight) to see how many copies of the app you currently have.

I'm also curious if you're seeing any error messages when this happens?

First, thank you for the quick replies!

There are no double entries neither in Spotlight nor in my Programs folder (in Finder). I don't get error messages, but it one case recently a new password I had created was available in only one of the two 1Passoword mini trays.

    Hi @bluewhite7 ,

Alright, let's take a closer look at your system to see if we can track this down. It sounds to me like you may have switched between the Mac App Store and AgileBits Store version of 1Password at some point, and the other version's mini decided to hang around. In any case, Diagnostics Report will let us know what's up. Please create a Report by following these instructions:

    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/mac.html

Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

    Hi Megan,

I sent in the report 1 week ago but haven't heard back so far. Can you confirm if you received my mail?

You should, if the email was received, have received an automated acknowledgement from AgileBits' BitBot with a reference number. If you didn't receive that you had better re-send the report. If you did receive the acknowledgement post the reference number in this thread and it will enable AgileBits to connect the two.

    Hi @bluewhite7,

I can confirm we did receive your email, and our teammate Eva sent you a response. Your Diagnostics Report was sent to us from your iCloud.com email account, so that's the one she replied to. But I see that there is a different email address associated with your forum handle, so I've just forwarded the message to that address. Please let us know if you don't receive that one. If you do receive it, let's go ahead and continue the conversation via email. Thank you!

Indeed my bad. I had overseen the e-mail in my iCloud account. I have done as suggested. Hopefully it will work. Thank you very much for your great support here.
