I cannot resole insuperable difficulties in starting up

I purchased 1Password today. After downloading the app and setting my password nothing appears that explains what I should do next. I have looked at thee downloadable book of instructions linked to my fist newsletter from Agile but nothing that according to the book that should appear on my screen does in fact appear on the screen. So I am lost and cannot use the app. I have tried but what I have done seems worse than useless. What should I do?

I assume you have purchased 1Password 5. In that case take a look at the user guide. You'll probably also find useful this specific page on getting started as well as other pages linked from the general support page.

I'm sorry to hear that it hasn't been an easy process getting 1Password up and running! Stephen is right, our User Guide is the best place to get started when learning how to use 1Password. In particular, the section discussing Installing the browser extensions will walk you through the process of installing the browser extensions and how to save a new Login, and then use that Login to fill on a website.

If you've already read through the Guide, please let us know at which point you started seeing something different than the Guide suggests. In particular, if you link us to the article, and explain what you're seeing on your screen, we'll have a better idea of where things are getting tangled, and we'll then be able to get it all straightened out!

I have purchased 1Password5. There is no "welcome screen", there is no "I'm new to 1 Password" button. There is nothing to indicate how I find "1Password mini" and how it is to be used. I do not understand how to use the icons that appear for the different logins. Is it suggested that I have to fill in all my passwords and other relevant information manually? At the moment I am in despair about this app and am totally frustrated with it, having spent so long in trying to understand how to use it. I often feel like abandoning it and consigning it to the trash basket. It would be helpful if I could speak to someone on the telephone who could help, but that is apparently not possible. I regret to say that the word "rip-off" does occasionally enter my mind. I have got so far as to create my Master Password but that is as far as I can get. The user guide is no help as it bears little relationship to what appears on my screen. Reinvade
