What is cost as new versions are developed? Do you have to keep buying licenses over time?

I'm sure there hasn't been any decision about pricing for 1Password 6, whenever it arrives. I doubt that OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) will cause users to need to upgrade 1Password versions, but that's my personal speculation. I don't really know.

In any case, major upgrades sometime require buying a new license, but not always. Payment was required to upgrade from version 3 to 4, but version 5 is free to registered users of 1Password 4. But as long as older version aren't broken by an OS X upgrade, users don't have to upgrade, if they don't want to. Your license is yours for as long as you use the software.

Also, regular updates to the same main version have always been free.

    Hi @caring52,

Nothing is public yet so everything hawkmoth has said is as much as I also know.

El Capitan seems to be aimed more as a stability release so I wouldn't expect there to be any issues between 1Password 5 and the yet to be released El Capitan and as hawkmoth has said, your existing licence does entitle you to run that version for as long as you want. We still have some people running 1Password 3 for Mac on Yosemite although I do think they're missing out on a lot of features. It is each person's choice though  As for schedule and pricing - I genuinely don't know.

Sorry I couldn't offer anything more concrete.
