Files showing up on iPhone Dropbox "Recents".

I use dropbox for sharing my 1PW vault info. I notice that on my iPhone, when I open Dropbox and go to Recents (at the bottom) that there is all sorts of 1PW files that I apparently open hours ago to weeks ago. Can I erase them without causing problems with my vault? I don't particularly want that info "stored" there.

    Hi @dtintle,

Each item in your vault is stored as a separate file inside your 1Password.agilekeychain. So, each time you change a detail inside your vault, one of those files will be updated. The titles that you're seeing in Dropbox are randomly generated UUIDs (Universally Unique Identifiers) that differentiate one item from another. This allows 1Password to sync changes of your database more quickly and efficiently - UUIDs can be compared and only the changed ones will be synced. The alternative would be to decrypt your entire database and scan for changes.

It is important to note that there is no identifying information in the UUID. It's a randomly generated string. So there's no harm in seeing these items in Dropbox's recent list.

More importantly, I would not recommend deleting any of these items. I've just tested here, and deleting the item from the Recent list actually removes the item from your Dropbox. So you could end up doing damage to your database if you delete these items.

I hope this helps to explain the importance of these files! :)

Thank you. I did delete a few of them before I decided maybe I should check before continuing -- glad I did. I will leave them alone. Thanks.
