1Password extension not working in Safari 8 [issue: x3watch blocking extension communication]
Hi,
I am unable to get the 1Password extension working in Safari 8. I have 1Password 5.3, with 1Password extension 4.4.1. Should there be an extension 5.X that I should download. I am pulling the download from here.
I have also read these posts, which didn't help resolve the issue.

https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/30090/1password-5-extension-not-working-in-safari
Both these issues seem to be related to using 1Password 3.X with the extension 4.X
Please help.
Thanks.
1Password Version: 5.3
Extension Version: 4.4.1
OS Version: 10.10.4
Sync Type: dropbox

Hi @adamehoar,
I'm sorry you're having trouble getting the 1Password extension to work in Safari! Thank you for the details and the screenshot, it's really helpful for us! :)
Both your info and screenshot confirm that you have the correct extension installed. The latest extension version is 4.4.1, and that same extension works with both 1Password 4 and 1Password 5, which is why the version numbers don't match.
I also see that 1Password mini is running on your Mac, as I can see its icon in your Mac's menu bar in your screenshot. That needs to be running in order for the browser extension to work, so that's good. In case 1Password mini isn't working correctly, open the main 1Password app and go to Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password mini. You'll need to unlock 1Password with your master password again. Once you do, try the browser extension again to see if it works.
If not, it sounds like something is blocking the communication between 1Password mini and the 1Password extension. In most cases, you can solve that by following our troubleshooting guide here: Troubleshooting communication issues between 1Password and the extension
Please try the steps there to see if that gets the extension working for you. Let us know how it goes and if you have any questions about that. If it's still a problem, we'll continue from there. Thanks!

Still no love. I don't have any custom configuration on my Mac (to my knowledge), and I made the Proxies changes suggested in the link you provided.
I also do not have a anti-virus or any additional extensions running. See below. More help?
Thanks.

Hi @adamehoar,
If you haven't already done so, try quitting Safari and reopen it to see if the 1Password extension will work. If you still get the same error, try restarting your Mac.
If neither of those suggestions takes care of the problem, I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac: https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/mac.html
Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum username so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and make sure you receive a reply as quickly as possible.
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks @adamehoar! I see that Marshall has been in touch with you and found that you have X3watch installed, which is blocking communication between the 1Password extension and 1Password mini. I'm very glad he was able to figure out what was causing the problem!
For anyone else who might be reading this, you can find more information in this forum discussion. If you would like to uninstall X3watch, I found updated instructions on their support site here: https://support.x3watch.com/hc/en-us/articles/204195560-How-do-I-uninstall-X3watch-from-a-Mac-
