Bank website
My bank has one page that has a login and a copy ID I don't know how to save that on one page then go to the next page to put in the password.
I have followed this already https://support.1password.com/create-multi-page-login/mac.html but I am only able to save manually one of two items. The first page has a user id and a company id. 1password will save the user id but not the company. Can I add it to another field separately?

Hi @TJ,
For most sites that have you fill login credentials on separate pages, you can create a multi-page Login item by following the steps here: Using 1Password with login sequences split across multiple pages
Does that help? Let us know how it goes and if you need more help with that. Thanks!

Drew,
Thanks, I have gone through this link too. I can save either the company id or the log id but not both? Should I add another field?

Hi @TJ,
So here's the bad news. At the moment 1Password won't be able to fill both pages using a single Login item. Now the reason why is all to do with the two approaches we take to filling and how and why we're strict. When you create a Login item inside your browser we record all sorts of information about the fields on the page. Then when you go back to fill we check that this 'fingerprint' matches and we feel confident that filling using the information recorded is safe to do so. If the fingerprint doesn't match we assume that the page no longer matches for whatever reason and that filling using the fields may not be the best approach.
So when you try to add the password to the Login item, which 1Password will happily allow you to do, it means that we will no longer fill using the web form details on that first page. On pages where they're simply separating the username and password fields out that's not a problem as the fallback approach is to attempt and fill just the username and password using a number of rules of thumb. These only work though because a single username and a single password are very distinct not just in terms of what they represent but also where you would even consider filling them on a page. The trouble comes when you have more than a single field of text where 1Password can't understand the difference between them as computers are still stupid for the most part, even with all of the work we've done to make them appear smart.
What 1Password can do though is store two Login items. If you create one per page, which I do realise doesn't feel as elegant, it should all work. You would title them accordingly and then select the correct one each time. Hopefully that workflow doesn't seem too bad but please do let us know your thoughts.
As I say, it gets tricky when you have more than one field of the same type as there isn't a bulletproof way for 1Password to understand the difference. I do apologise there isn't more we could suggest at this point in time.
