1password.html missing from Dropbox. (1P 5.3.2) I've stopped sync, made sure there was nothing left in Dropbox, restarted OS X 10.10.4, reenabled Dropbox sync; still no 1Password.html. Also, no 1Password folder! (I had pointed the sync folder as the Apps folder.) I do need that 1password.html file! Can you help? Thanks.

1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: 4.4.3b1
OS Version: 10.10.4
Sync Type: Dropbox

  • Hi @kolonelpanik,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us!

Could you please let me know which sync format you're using — .agilekeychain or .opvault?

(Just check the file extension of the 1Password bundle in your Dropbox folder.)

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @kolonelpanik,

Something has gone wrong. 1Password should be recreating that file if it finds it missing. I suspect the best way forward might be to stop syncing, delete the Agile Keychain in the process and have 1Password create a brand new Agile Keychain for you. The ability to completely remove the Agile Keychain and start anew is a handy capability in 1Password 4/5 for troubleshooting oddities. Now the downside is it does depend on how many machines or devices do sync to this Agile Keychain as each one will have to have sync set up again.

Still, I think it's the easiest route forward for you. To delete the Agile Keychain you simply need to tick the checkbox Delete data from Dropbox when you're asked for confirmation when disabling sync. This will only delete the Agile Keychain and instead of a Merge Existing button you will get a Create New button instead. All your other Macs and iOS devices will make a point of informing you that sync has been disabled as the sync container has changed at which point you can set it up again and fingers crossed normality has returned.

Should you have any questions or doubts please do post and let us know how you get along
