Hi @brettr,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us! Sorry to hear about the trouble.
That error message is letting you know that 1Password failed to verify the authenticity of your web browser. Code signature verification is a security feature in 1Password for Mac. It can detect whether your web browser is authentic or whether it has been modified by a third party. Most browsers use code signing to sign to allow others to verify they haven’t been changed.
The most common reason to see this in Chrome is if it the app is updating. Signature validation will fail if Chrome is in the middle of an update. You can normally resolve this simply by quitting and restarting Chrome.
If that doesn't help, we have a troubleshooting guide with more suggestions:
How to resolve “code signature could not be verified” (Mac)
Please let us know if that helps! :)

Hi,
I am getting the same error. Both with Chromium (which makes sense according to the support page) but also with Chrome after downgrading to the stable version. What next?
Regard,

And yes: I restarted the computer. And yes I restarted Chrome to make sure it is not updating. :-)

Hi @JPKMZ,
It would seem that if you're seeing this with the stable version of Google Chrome and you've also performed a reboot as well as ensured Google Chrome isn't in some mid-update state (easily verified by checking the menu option Chrome > About Google Chrome) then it would see the most likely cause might be something interfering with the communication between the extension and 1Password. The page JasperP linked you to does ask about firewalls and anti-virus software as two items that could interfere with the communication, do you have anything like that installed?
