Unexpected Behavior when Deleting a Tag

Unexpected behavior: when you're in Tag group and delete that tag from an item, your focus immediately reverts to the "All Items" view. Expected behavior would be that you remain in the Tag group you were in, and the item simply disappears from the group, so you can continue editing in the same view.

Hi @rkanes,

Can you let us know which version of 1Password you're running that has the behaviour you've reported when removing a tag from an item? Does this happen regardless of how many tags the item has or just when removing the last (and possibly only) tag? For this to be possible, presumably there are other remaining items using the tag you've selected under Tags in the sidebar after removing it from one item:

Expected behavior would be that you remain in the Tag group you were in, and the item simply disappears from the group, so you can continue editing in the same view.

Of course the sidebar selection would have to change when a tag disappears from the Tags section after its removal from every item. :)

So far I'm seeing some inconsistent results in my testing. Any additional details that help to reliably reproduce what's happening for you are appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response. This behavior was observed in Mac Desktop Version 5.3.2 (532001), with items having more than one tag assigned, and is repeatable with any Tag group. --RK

One other question: When the sidebar selection switches to All Items after removing an item's tag is that item selected in the item list with its item details displayed?
