Simple question about sharing

Still deciding to put all my keys in 1P or not ... I don't quite understand how to share yet, may I get some answer to this simple question:

I manage a small project. I hope to share with the team a password to access a 3rd party site, so everybody can login, and when people leaves, their access gets removed. If I have a full paid version of 1P, can I ask them to just download a free version of 1P, so I can share a vault to them without them paying for a license?

Lastpass does this very easily, but I like the look of 1P better. Can 1P do the same thing?

    Hi @kitetaka,

We don't really have anything equivalent to what you're describing but there are a couple of possibilities.

    1. 1PasswordAnywhere would allow those with access to the Agile Keychain in Dropbox to view the vault in a read only format. It lacks a lot of the conveniences of 1Password but technically would do the trick.
    2. Depending on the size of the vault the trial mode could be sufficient. The trial normally lasts 30 days but if your vault is 20 items or less then the restrictions don't kick in. Those restrictions are all to do with writing to the vault - one thing we will never do is limit read access to a vault as that's just not very cool at all (some may even say it's a bit like extortion).

So one of those might work for you but as you can see, neither were designed with your goal in mind. What do you think?

On behalf of littlebobbytables, you're very welcome! I'm glad to hear you'll be trying out 1Password. If you need any help to get that set up, or if you have questions about it at all, please don't hesitate to let us know. :)
