@gold4it as you've said the problem relates to 1P for Mac I have moved your post from the 1Password for iOS forum to the 1P for Mac forum where you will get more help.
The first thing to make clear is that 1P for Mac and 1P for iOS are completely separate products. In other words, if you need 1P for Mac you have to buy it. The cost of it has nothing to do with whether or not you have 1P for iOS.
1Password is licensed per person and per platform, rather than per device. You can read more about AgileBits' approach to software licensing in this knowledge base article.
You can buy 1P for Mac either from the Mac App Store or direct from the AgileBits store. There are two things to bear in mind:
- If you ever want to use iCloud to sync 1P data between your Mac and iPhone you must buy 1P from the Mac App Store because the version from the AgileBits store doesn't support iCloud sync (following changes made by Apple on the launch of OS X Yosemite). Both versions support sync of 1P data by either local wifi or Dropbox.
- If you have owned an earlier version of 1P for Mac you may be entitled to an upgrade discount if you buy from the AgileBits store. That discount won't be available if you buy from the Mac App Store.
In relation to the trial expired message please see this knowledge base article:

Hi @gold4it,
It looks like Stephen has already given you a thorough answer about the licenses, and the links he included should give you some more specifics about all that. In short, if you've never purchased a license for 1Password 4 or 5 for Mac, you'll need to do so in order to fully activate it.
I also noticed that you asked about licenses in this older discussion from April 2014, and Megan explained that 1Password for iOS is a separate purchase from 1Password for Mac or Windows. Did you purchase a license for the Mac and/or Windows version from our AgileBits Store at that time? I couldn't find a license in our system listed under the email address from your forum account. If you purchased a license with a different email address, you can have your license resent to you from the "I've lost my license" section of this site.
Hopefully this helps, but if you have more questions about that, please let us know. :)
