It sounds from what you say that:
- you first go to a login page for you bank and log in;
- after that you are presented, on a separate page, with the request for the routing number and account number.
Have I understood correctly? If so, see if this knowledge base article helps:
Using 1Password with login sequences split across multiple pages

@rwo: I will also add a few things to Stephen_C's excellent suggestion, based on my own experiences.
First, since this will most certainly be an 'internal' page on a banking website, we may not be able to help troubleshoot directly unless one of us happens to have an account with the same institution. That said, it never hurts to share the URL on the off chance that we do! And, as always, use our Synapse website issue tracker to report any filling issues you encounter, so that the developers can take a look and improve 1Password going forward.
And finally, in many, many cases, bank information forms like what you describe — at least that I've seen — employ some incredibly obnoxious tricks including but not limited to blocking copy/paste, actively preventing filling, and replacing characters your type with other symbols to obscure it. All of these can be a headache as a user, and also, unfortunately, interfere with 1Password doing the filling for you as well. I just wanted to mention that in case you come across some of this behaviour yourself, and offer my sympathies. I'm right there with you. :unamused:
