Multiple users one Mac
I've trawled the Forums regarding this but I'm a little confused by the fact that the 1PW license is per user and not per machine.
I have a situation with 5 accounts on one Mac - 1 Admin plus 4 users. Each of the accounts needs to have 1-PW but obviously each user requires their own separate keychain. Is this possible with a single license or does each user need a separate license?
A separate license is required for a PC in the same house, but are the 1-PW keychains interchangeable between Mac and PC - probably Win 10 - with no problem? I don't think this will arise, but one user may have a work related requirement for a PC due to the need for a VPN into her workplace together with PGP privacy tools and I want to be sure the 1-PW side of it would be workable.
1Password Version: 4.4.3
Extension Version: 4.4.2
OS Version: OSX 10.9.5

The keychain can be used between Mac and Windows with no issue. If your interested in syncing, Dropbox is mot likely the best solution for you.
Information on a variety of topics can be found here. https://support.agilebits.com/index.html including specific examples of license situations.
The short answer is :
Licenses can be shared by up to six family members living in the same household.
However they are still platform independent. Meaning from my estimation you would need 1 Mac and 1 Windows license. Most likely the bundle option would be the best value.
The number of keychains is not affected by the license etc, you can have as many as needed.

Hi @Tacitus99,
It looks like thightower has already answered your questions, but I wanted to add that you can find more information about how 1Password licenses work here: What licenses do I need to use 1Password on all my devices?
Hopefully you're all set, but if you have more questions or need anything else, just let us know. :)

I asked this question a very long time ago, and was told that "user" meant "human being" not "account" for AgileBits

I thought a single Mac license would cover it, but 'per user' had me a little confused.
As I said, the PC side of it may not arise, but I appreciate that a separate license would be needed in that case.
Thanks to all for the clarification.

Hi @Tacitus99,
So glad to hear that we could help! Personally, I really like that Danco thinks about 'human being' instead of 'user' - that's a great way to look at it.
If you have any further questions about 1Password, we're here for you! :)
