Hi,
I bought 1PW for Windows and now I have a problem to activate my license-key.
When I put in my license-key, I always get the following message:

"A valid certificate chain or partial chain was received, but the certificate was not accepted because the CA certificate could not be located or couldn't be matched with a known, trusted CA. This message is always fatal."

What's the problem? Did you send me a wrong license-key?
Please help, I need to use the program.

Greetings from Germany
Ulrich

    Hi @Ulrich,

That's an error saying that we cannot connect to our server via secure connections. It usually is caused by a proxy or a restricted network that is snooping into your secure traffic.

Are you trying to register the product at a work or internet cafe? Can you try again via VPN or at home?

    Hi,
    thanks for your quick response.

Your question: "Are you trying to register the product at a work or internet cafe?"
My answer: No, not at all.

Your question: "Can you try again via VPN or at home?"
My answer: I allways tried it only at home with my private desktop-PC.

    Hi @Ulrich,

Any security or anti-malware solution that could interfere with your secured network traffic, like Avast? Check their logs to see if they've blocked the traffic and/or try to disable them temporarily to see if you can quickly register your license.

    Hi @MikeT,

    thanks very much !!!

    This was the solution.
I use Kaspersky Internet Security. This caused the problem. I finished/exit the program and the registration worked.

Thanks once more. Have a nice weekend.

  • I'm glad to hear that and you're welcome.
