Confronted with master password without having set one?

I just installed the trial version of 1password on my mac and I'm directly confronted by a screen that asks me to enter my master password, without me ever having set a master password. It also gives the hint "first time". I went through the guide, but that wasn't very useful. How is this possible?

    Hi @naorscheinowitz,

This would only be possible if 1Password found a vault. It might be you tried a trial for an older version and either it left something in Dropbox or is still stored locally on your machine.

The first thing worth trying is our guide How do I start over with an empty vault?. While going through those steps, I would also try looking in the folder ~/Library/Application Support/1Password/ which is where 1Password 3 would store information.

If clearing both of those doesn't help then I think the quickest route forward would be for us to look at a diagnostic report as that will identify the source. Let us know if that makes any difference and if not we'll continue with the troubleshooting. Sorry for the struggles here!
