Family License -- second user getting trial expired message
I have a family license. My husband's copy is telling him "trial expired." I try to click Add License, get told to go to original email -- but it was addressed to me and is on my laptop. I have the license key -- but can't find any way to enter it. I checked his 1Password and there is no Agilebits file with the license. His extension is much older than mine (4.4.2) and is NOT enabled. I can't figure out how he syncs and to what. He does not have 1Pass on his iPhone. Where do I find the newer extension to download? Do I uninstall the older one?
1Password Version: 5.3.2`
Extension Version: 3.9.20
OS Version: 10.10.4
Sync Type: not sure

Hi @xandarar,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us today with your questions. I'll be happy to help you here!
I have a family license. My husband's copy is telling him "trial expired." I try to click Add License, get told to go to original email -- but it was addressed to me and is on my laptop.
I have resent your licenses to you via email because we have simplified the license application process since you made your purchase. You can forward this email to your husband. In that email, under 1Password 5 for Mac, you should see a link that says "Click here to apply your 1Password license." On his computer, have him click that link (with 1Password 5 running and unlocked). It will open a page in the default browser which automatically downloads and applies your family license to 1Password. This should take it out of trial mode and unlock the full-featured app. Additionally, your license file will be stored within 1Password in the Software Licenses category for future reference.
His extension is much older than mine (4.4.2) and is NOT enabled.
4.4.2 is actually the latest version of the 1Password browser extension, which is separate from the 1Password for Mac application, which is now on version 5 and can be downloaded here if needed.
I can't figure out how he syncs and to what. He does not have 1Pass on his iPhone.
If he wants to have 1Password on his iPhone, 1Password for iOS is free to download from the iOS App Store, with an optional in-app purchase to unlock Pro Features. Once he installs it, he can follow this guide to set it up with his existing data.
But first, sync must be configured from the 1Password 5 > Preferences... menu under the Sync tab. He can sync his 1Password data between his Mac and iPhone via Dropbox or Wi-Fi sync, whichever he'd prefer.
I hope this helps clarify a few things, but please let us know if any of this is unclear or if you have any further questions. We're here for you! :)
