How can I find out the status of my account.

I have had Password for many years and I have Password loaded on 5 devises (2 iPhone 5s's; 2 iPad Air2's and a Macbook Pro, I have lost rack of what license I'm on, am I paying 5 times for all the devises to upgrade? Do I need to upgrade all my devises? When I upgraded to Yosemite on my laptop a license upgrade popped up so I said yes. But apparently it was a trial for an upgrade to 5 (I think I have 3.???) now I can't edit a login unless I pay $50 for the upgrade to 5. So again will I run into this issue all my devises sometime? Will this upgrade to 5 recognize and cross over to all my devises?

Thank you - great program BTW

    Hi Bob ( @jackted3 ),

Thanks for taking the time to write in, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with 1Password lately!

Now, I took a quick look in our back office records, and found an existing license for 1Password 3 attached to the email address that you have listed in your forum profile. This license for 1Password 3 is good forever, it's not an account that will expire.

If you'd like to use the latest and greatest of 1Password (version 5) on your Mac, it will be a paid upgrade. (For a bit of background, moving from 1Password 3 to 1Password 4 required a paid upgrade, it's a free upgrade to go from 1Password 4 to 1Password 5.) If you'd like to remain with 1Password 3, I can provide you instructions on how to roll back from the current trial.

However, if you decide that you would like to upgrade to the latest version (which has a lot of wonderful features that I'm sure you're enjoying already!), you're entitled to a discount as an existing 1Password owner. Simply paste your current license details into the form on our upgrade page to see your discount. (Just in case you need it, I'm re-sending your license details to the email address that we have on file.)

am I paying 5 times for all the devises to upgrade?

Your license for 1Password for Mac entitles you to install 1Password on as many Macs as you (and up to five members of your household) currently use.

To cover your iOS devices, 1Password 5 for iOS is a free download from the iOS App Store. There are some Pro Features available for a one-time in app purchase, and this purchase can be applied to all your iOS devices, as long as you are using the same Apple ID on each device.

I hope this answers your questions, but we're here if you need any further clarification!

Hello, thank you for your help. I did buy the upgrade and I think everything is set up correctly. Now the next question, I haven't upgraded my wife's Mac to Yosemite - she is still on 10.6.8. I should be upgrading soon. Can she load 1Password now? If so how. When I go to the App store on her Mac other than paying 49.99 I don't see how it links to me and therefore I can download?

    Thanks again

    Hi Bob ( @jackted3 ),

No need to buy from the Mac App Store; you bought a license directly from us.

On OS X 10.6, your wife can use 1Password 3 for Mac. She can download it from the Legacy section at the bottom of our downloads page.

I've just sent your license information to you via email. You now have two valid license keys for 1Password 3 for Mac: the one you bought in 2009, and the one that comes with the 1Password 5 license. Your wife can either one of those to register 1Password 3 on her computer. And when she does upgrade to Yosemite, you can just forward the license email to her and she can use your 1Password 5 license file. :)
