    Hi @jieh,

I searched our sales records for your email address and wasn't able to locate a license. Have a look at this support article to address the "Trial Expired" message.

    “Trial Expired” notice (Mac)

If you have the license file, you should be able to add it to 1Password 5 just by double-clicking the file with 1Password running and unlocked. If you bought 1Password from the Mac App Store, then the license is tied to your Apple ID and you'd need to download it from there (easily located in the Purchases tab) rather than from our website.

Let us know if you have any further questions or trouble. Thanks!

My previous e-mail was [removed by AgileBits for privacy], and my serial number is
[removed by AgileBits]. I tried clicking on the app,but nothing happened. When I select
³License² I get my downloads screen, which does not help. I open the
Applications folder, and 1Password is greyed out. What should I try next?

    Hi @jieh,

Thanks for providing this additional information. I've removed your email address and license info from your post to protect your privacy in this public forum. Sorry for the trouble you're having here!

In the last few months, we have streamlined the process for new users to add their license file to 1Password 5 right from the license/receipt email. I have resent your license info to you via email (to your .edu address--do you still have access to that?). In that email, under 1Password 5 for Mac, you should see a link that says "Click here to apply your 1Password license." When you click that link (with 1Password 5 running and unlocked), it will open a page in your default browser which automatically downloads and applies your license to 1Password. This should take it out of trial mode, unlock the full-featured app, and store your license file within 1Password in the Software Licenses category for future reference.

If you no longer have access to that email address, let us know and we can update that in our records. Would you like us to change it to the email address associated with your forum handle?

Thanks, @jieh, I have updated your email address as requested, and resent your license info there.

Please let us know if you're able to apply your license from the "Click here to apply your 1Password license" link contained in that email.

Ha, you're welcome, @jieh! I'm so glad I could help.

Hopefully 1Password will work perfectly from now on, but if anything else should come up, you know where to find us! :)
