I just purchased and installed 1password. When it said to put in and verify the password that I had created I did which was . It let me enter all of the characters that I had come up with which was 39. Then it asked again what my password was. I started to enter what I put in and after entering 18 or 19 characters it came to the end of the enter line which was 18 or 19 characters and doesn’t let me enter the rest of the characters. I am locked out at the start. I have gone into “finder” and deleted the 1password application and reinstalled it but it still won’t work. What now????

Just keep typing the letters. What you are seeing is a display artifact as the early letters, now replaced by asterisks, scroll to the left and a new character is added to the right. You'll be fine.

    Hi @sambopugmire,

Hawkmoth's answer is spot-on - it can be hard to tell the characters you type are still being entered (because they all look like dots) once you reach the end of the visible field, but it is still accepting every character you type. It might help to look at your keyboard as you type it, instead of looking at the screen.

Hopefully this helps, but please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!
