1PW Extension issue - FireFox
Did find a couple of FF threads and my situation appears different. I have 1PW 5.3 (530029) from the MAS. Yesterday I updated FF to version 40.0 and OSX to 10.10.5 - maybe I should updated them separately. When the 1PW extension did not work, I tried Safari - no problem. So I did an Extension update for FF - no luck. FF tells me my extension version of 4.2.2
I have rebooted my Mac. Any suggestions?

I found threads talking about FireFox 40 - they seem not to apply. Sudddenly with FireFox 40.0 I have an extension type issue. I have 1PW 5.3 for MAS (530029). My first action was to update the Extension - that did not help. I have Extension 4.4.2
I also upgraded my Mac OS to 10.10.5 - and don't know if that is the cause. I have reboote

Further data - 1PW will autofill on the TeslaMotors.com website, but not at Amazon.com or Chase.com -- Safari works fine on all sites I have tried.

Hi @Gordon101,
Neither update should cause problems, I myself am currently running both Firefox 40 and OS X 10.10.5.
Now you've performed a reboot, never a bad thing to try if in doubt so I'm wondering if it's worth uninstalling the 1Password Firefox extension completely, quitting and re-launching Firefox (caching issues are such a pain) and attempting to re-install the extension from our 1Password Browser Extensions page. If that still doesn't work please do let us know along with any messages Firefox may say. I would expect it to grumble about our extension not being signed which we are working on. Do you get the normal message of how the extension has found 1Password? Does it make any difference to the button or the keyboard shortcut for say filling? (
⌘\
). Let us know if any of that makes a difference or if Firefox or the extension report any errors during this poking and prodding.0 -
Hi @Gordon101,
I've merged your two threads as they seem to be regarding the same issue. Hopefully we can get this all resolved for you

Thanks for merging items. I did "remove" the 1PW extension, quite FireFox, started FF and reinstalled the Extension. Still no luck. I get the same result if I use CMD + \ or double click the item in 1PW -- nothing enters into the password box, but on sites with "submit" enabled the submission happens.

Solved - When I turned off auto-submit and did everything slowly one step at a time, I learned the sites in question use Flash. I have a Flash blocker installed to stop AutoRunning videos - common on the MacWorld.com website. For unknown reasons this is a problem with FF 40, but not earlier versions. Also even removing the blocker from FF is not enough - if Safari is open. I am not sure I will ever get to the root of this - I am told my the Adobe site my installation of Flash failed. I downloaded an uninstaller and removed flash. Unfortunately I need flash to read the local newspaper on line. Giving thought to installing Chrome which I believe has a Flash function built in. Sorry to have bothered you for something that was completely caused on my end.

Hi @Gordon101,
If something interfered with 1Password we want to know so I'm glad you posted as well as happy you found the culprit
Flash is evil though.
