Firefox 40 1Password 4 Login problems
Hi
I'm having log in problems on some sites, for example ebay and Amazon. Agilebits works OK
OS 10.9.5
1Password 4 4.4.3
Firefox 40.0
Firefox extension 4.4.2
Dropbox sync
I've tried the suggestions in the FAQ's which haven't helped.
I'm also not sure if the sync is working OK between 1P 4 and 1P 5 which is on my MBP running Yosemite, as I've had a few incorrect passwords between the 2 systems. Amazon and ebay log ins work OK on the MBP
1Password Version: 4.4.3
Extension Version: 4.4.2
OS Version: OS 10.9.5
Sync Type: Dropbox

Hello @rexmos,
So the first thing to test is to see if synchronisation is working or not. If you create a test item on both of your Macs do you see both items on both machines? If you do it would seem synchronisation is working.
The next thing to check is the password for the two Login items you mentioned. We know synchronisation should be working, so do the passwords look the same if you compare? I don't know about you but my passwords are so hideous I'm confident they're the same just by glancing at the first few letters, numbers and symbols as 20+ character random passwords don't often look similar.
If the passwords even at a glance look the same the chances are they are. So that leaves us with an issue where it fills on one machine but not another.
If you create a brand new Login item on the MacBook Pro that runs 1Password 5 and create the Login item using our How to manually save a Login guide, how does that new Login fill on both the 1Password 5 machine and the 1Password 4 machine?

Hi litllebobbytables,
The first test worked fine, both items are shown on both machines.
Second, test passwords look identical as well.
Third test log in created manually in 1P 5 fills OK on MBP but doesn't fill in 1P 4. BTW all works OK in Safari .0 -
Hi litllebobbytables,
I've solved this, I think by re-installing Firefox (now 40.0.2) and my Amazon and Ebay now work OK. Thanks for your help.0 -
Hi litllebobbytables,
My problem is with the firefox add-ons, particularly Flashblock. With my new insyallation, I downloaded the add-ons I had before and the problem came back.0 -
Hello @rexmos,
I'm surprised to hear Flashback is interfering with the likes of Amazon and eBay, the plugin must be interfering at a much more fundamental level to have that impact given neither of those sites use Flash. Can I just confirm, is this the Firefox extension that you're referring to? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flashblock/
Obviously it's good to know you've got things working again and that you managed to discover the source of the problem.
