I have a number of questions for you and didn't really know where best to post them.

I work for a global company of c. 300 users served desktops (currently Windows 7) by VDI (VMware Horizon View). We have a number of "golden" images from which pools of desktops are deployed which are refreshed (deleted and reset to template) at log off. I'd like to deploy 1Password across the entire organisation ideally maintaining their vaults internally however realise that this is not really possible and we'd be happy to use Dropbox.

1) Does anyone in the community do this?
2) What would an enterprise licensing model look like?
3) We'd ideally like to separate both business and personal vaults for each user and maintain control of deleting the business vault if user is a leaver - we're not interested in viewing the vault contents
4) How would 1Password react to being refreshed each time a desktop is deleted?

I've lots of other questions of this nature if anyone out there has done anything similar and would be willing to offer up their advice!

    Does anyone in the community do this?

    We have seen someone do this with 1Password included in the image along with the site license. However, we weren't told how they were handling the vaults, it is likely they store the copy on the central data server and pushing a copy to the user's Document > 1Password folder.

    You can use your own sync tool to push the business vaults to the user's Documents > 1Password and the user can choose to use Dropbox to sync their own personal vaults. 1Password on Windows will not merge them, the user will have to switch between vaults to get what they need.

    Once the user left the company, you can delink or remove the access to the copy on the server.

    4) How would 1Password react to being refreshed each time a desktop is deleted?

    The same as every other program, it has no external dependencies. Once you deploy, 1Password will install silently and as long as there is the default 1Password.agilekeychain folder in the user's Document > 1Password directory and the license is left in the %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\AgileBits directory, the user will see a locked screen the moment 1Password is opened for the first time.
