URL parsed incorrectly

https://www.my-software.co.uk/foo.php?bar=1

This URL is not a valid URL, however demonstrates the issue when filled via 1Password as it removes the ?bar=1 portion of the URL.

    Hi @tmancey,

As an example, if the website field of a Login item has a URL like https://www.my-software.co.uk/foo.php?bar=1 are you saying that using open and fill with that item will open https://www.my-software.co.uk/foo.php (with its ?bar=1 query string removed) before attempting the fill? Thanks for clarifying this, and reporting it. :)

Actually it removes everything after the .co.uk part

    Hi @tmancey,

There are certain terms we look for in a URL which would indicate the URL is for a registration page. Normally you don't want to fill a registration page, that's something you do once at the very start and we try to stop 1Password from inadvertently doing so. When this happens (which is only applicable to open and fill) it turns out we strip away from the path and just use the domain. I have to admit, I didn't know about this the first time I came across it but it was purposely put in there and I suspect with good reason.

If you load the login page normally in a browser I take it you find 1Password fills correctly?

    Hi @tmancey,

It does sound like the issue I was suspecting but only seeing the actual URL would confirm this. For sites like this where the login URL could be misconstrued as a URL for a registration or change password page - anything like that open and fill from the main window won't work at the moment. What is hopefully an alternative though is to use use open and fill via 1Password mini. Normally when you use 1Password mini it will list the Login items for the current tab/site but if you search in 1Password mini or navigate the menus and click on a Login item that doesn't apply to the current tab it will also perform an open and fill action but it will use the full URL.

Do you find that works and could that be an acceptable workaround?
