Can you update this Rich Icon, please?
In 1Password, I added an account for "GitLab.com", and the icon came up completely wrong. It looks nothing like any of the favicons referenced on the https://gitlab.com page.
I learned on https://support.1password.com/privacy-rich-icons/ that 1Password uses your own "Rich Icons server" for fetching these, and in https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/40330/rich-icons that these are added manually.
Could you update the one for GitLab.com, please?
thanks!

@wendy_appleseed999: Sorry for the confusion, but that's the icon the website is serving! 1Password just takes what it is given when it queries the server for the
favicon.ico
orapple-touch-icon.png
.The problem you're having is that their current logo is an SVG file. If GitLab ever 'gits' around to updating their icon(s) to match their new logo, 1Password will automatically download it, just as it did the 'wrong' one you're getting now. ;)
No promises, as we do have a lot of other things going on, but we'll certainly see if we can add our own Rich Icon for the site in the future! In the mean time, you can actually add it manually by editing the item and dragging the desired image over the default icon. I hope this helps! :)

Thanks for responding.

I think the issue is that I had simply put in "GitLab.com", rather than the log-in page.
I couldn't figure out how to make 1P refresh its icon when I changed the URL, so I made a completely new 1P entry with webpage "https://gitlab.com/users/sign_in". Yet for some reason, it uses the old white icon for this entry, too! On the log-in page, there is no reference that I see to the white cartoon icon:
- The /favicon.ico is https://gitlab.com/favicon.ico
- The link rel="shortcut icon" is https://gitlab.com/assets/favicon-5738a6efe01f3282080df5f467da72a9.ico
- The link rel="apple-touch-icon" (no declared size) is https://gitlab.com/assets/touch-icon-iphone-4c0496ac9f88e7961644c66b289a6614.png
- The link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="76x76" is https://gitlab.com/assets/touch-icon-ipad-d64abe7a8e8be6e02245d2ed79da6ff9.png
- The link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="120x120" is https://gitlab.com/assets/touch-icon-iphone-retina-54af16810ab006406b4df81f8a92fe8d.png
- The link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="152x152" is https://gitlab.com/assets/touch-icon-ipad-retina-72774a950890a9e3811ab91f186cc11f.png
All of these are abstract orange polygonal logo.
Where is 1P looking, to find the old white cartoon icon?

Thanks for writing back, @wendy_appleseed999. You're completely right, of course. I'll get it updated.
If we can be of further assistance, please let us know. We are always here to help. :)

Ohh, I see. So someone must have had us add it manually in the past, which means that we have the old one in our database...and therefore once we update it we'll have an outdated icon if they change it again! That makes sense. :pirate:

Hi, @wendy_appleseed999. Thanks for the post. I've updated the icon on our server, so you should see it in 1Password apps within the next 24 hours or so.

It's been 3 weeks, and I'm still seeing the old white icon when I add a new Gitlab entry in 1Password. Do I need to do something special on my end to get the new icon?

The updated GitLab icon should be picked up from our image server; it's working for me:
Might be that the old one from your local cache is still being used instead. Can you try deselecting/reselecting View > Show Rich Icons from the 1Password app menu and let me know if that makes any difference? Thanks!

Toggling that checkbox made it work for new entries, thanks.
My old entry still didn't update, but eventually I found that I could select the icon, hit "delete", and then re-save, and then it got the update.

You're welcome, @wendy_appleseed999.
Glad to hear that the Show Rich Icons toggle fixed the icon issue for new items. And you already discovered and successfully used the workaround I was going to suggest for items that didn't get a fresh icon after the toggle. :)
Have a great weekend – cheers!
