1Password does not ask for syncing options after launch, cannot do anything at all

Hello,
I got a new machine and did a fresh install of my apps. Redownloaded 1PW from the website but after the welcome screen with the what's new features, nothing happens. Dropbox has synced all its files including the 1PWkeychain so shouldn't 1PW prompt me for syncing choice? I cannot do anything with the program, cannot create a new vault, and the syncing tab in preferences is empty....
Hope you can help, it would be so annoying to set up my new machine without 1PW...

Thank you, Carolin

    Hi @carolin,

I'm sorry you're having trouble setting up 1Password on a new Mac! I'm assuming you downloaded 1Password 5 from our website (which means you're probably running Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) on your Mac), but if you downloaded a different version, please let us know.

When you open 1Password 5 for the first time on a new Mac, it should either find your .agilekeychain file in Dropbox, or give you options for "I'm new to 1Password" and "I've used 1Password before". We have steps for how this should work in our user guide here: Using existing 1Password data on a new computer

You said nothing happens after the welcome screen, so does that mean you aren't seeing anything like the user guide describes? Do you still see a welcome screen, or do you end up with no windows open at all? Do you see a "1Password 5" menu at the top of the screen, next to the  menu?

Once we know more about that, we should have a better idea how to get things working correctly. Thanks in advance!
