Hi there

I just got a Macbook Pro Retina, and wanted to try 1password.

I have always used dropbox on my windows pc and my iphone to sync.

I have downloaded and installed dropbox - and sync is up to date - i now download 1password from ur site - and install it - but as soon i open up 1password it askes me to log in with my master password,. When i do that i can see 275 passwords totally - wich confuse me because i have 350 totally on my iphone which is synced with dropbox.
I know want to make a stync to my dropbox - and i tell where the folder is - and press next... and press next... and press next - but nothing happenes??

I have tryed to clear icloud password on my iphone to make sure icloud is free of anything - but where do 1password get my vault from when my icloud is clean and my dropbox is not sync - i have tryed to remove both dropbox and 1password and reinstall 1password - and still 275 passwords in a vault it finds.

I have followed several guides on how to remove folder and such on my mach - but there is no folders or containers....

How can i totaly clean 1password and maske it start from scratch and sync with my dropbox???

I have 1password 5 on my IOS and newest yosemite on my macbook - and the 1password is the "Trial" from ur website. i already bought IOS and windows version so i wanna try it and test it before bying on the mac also - its REALLY expensive to buy once again :-(

    Hi @MGROEN,

I'm sorry you're having trouble getting all your 1Password data to your Mac!

The first time you open 1Password, it will try to find your existing 1Password data. If you had ever used 1Password on that Mac, it should find the data from that. Otherwise, it should find your vault in Dropbox. When you started the app and it asked you for your master password, do you happen to remember if it said where it found your data?

I know want to make a stync to my dropbox - and i tell where the folder is - and press next... and press next... and press next - but nothing happenes??

From this description, it sounds like your Primary vault was not already syncing with Dropbox, which means it may have found data from a previous installation of 1Password on that Mac. Since you're having difficulty setting up Dropbox sync, I think your best bet will be to reset 1Password on your Mac by following the steps in this knowledgebase article.

When following those steps, make sure you look for the files listed for both the Mac App Store and AgileBits Store versions of 1Password, just in case you've had each one installed at some point.

After those steps, open 1Password 5 again, and it should allow you to choose your vault from Dropbox. We have more information in our user guide here: Using existing 1Password data on a new computer

Does that help? Please let us know how it goes and if you have any questions about that.

i already bought IOS and windows version so i wanna try it and test it before bying on the mac also - its REALLY expensive to buy once again :-(

Please note that if you previously purchased a 1Password for Windows license from the AgileBits Store, you can get a discount on a license for the Mac version. Just visit this site and enter your license code to see your discount and license options for 1Password for Mac.

    Hi @MGROEN,

I'm glad to hear that Drew was able to help you out! As Drew mentions above, you're entitled to a discount on your Mac as a 1Password for Windows owner. Our upgrade page will show you how much you save once you input your Windows license details in the field.

I hope this gets you all sorted out, but we're here if you have any further questions or concerns!
