Chrome code signature can't be verified with 1Password 4.x from MAS (latest chrome, etc)

1Password just keeps complaining about not being able to verify Chrome code signature, despite the fact Chrome is at the latest version and is not in the middle of updating itself.

Switching to the standalone 1Password version downloaded from your website (v4.4.3) solved the issue for me. But I assume you'd like to be aware of it if you aren't already.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about the problem you were having with the Mac App Store version!

Do you happen to have Chrome stored somewhere other than the main Applications folder on your Mac? The Mac App Store version of 1Password is sandboxed, so it might not be able to verify browsers stored in other locations. That seems like the most likely explanation, but you may want to take a look at some other possible causes of that message here: How to resolve “code signature could not be verified” (Mac)

Also, it looks like there was just a small update for Chrome released, which is version 44.0.2403.157 (64-bit). That wouldn't have been the reason for the error if you received it before today, though.

If you'd like more help with that, please let us know.

I'm having the same issue. Verified that Chrome is running out of my /Applications folder. Have tried following all of the steps in the How to resolve link. In the 1password logs I see this associated with the failure:

Wed Sep 30 14:30:38 2015| 532001 [EXT:0x7fe701d1f130:] M sendFillItem:generatedPassword:openInTabMode: | Extension client 'chrome-extension://aomjjhallfgjeglblehebfpbcfeobpgk' ((null)) is not verified. Will not fill until client is verified.

Please let me know any further steps I should do in order to debug this.

@mattsh: Unfortunately without some basic information it's hard to say what might be going wrong and how we might right it! Please tell me the OS, 1Password, and browser versions you're using, the exact steps you're taking, and what is (or is not) happening the way you expect so we can figure out the best plan of action.

The more information you can give, the better. For instance, be sure to restart your Mac, as the may simply be some resources in use that are preventing an update to complete...which of course will invalidate the code signature. Also, do you have security software that may be blocking communications and simply preventing 1Password from validating the browser? Thanks in advance! :)
