Errors when trying to open 1Password app [multiple copies of 1Password app on Mac]
I have many pop ups notifying me of back up problems lost or failed files. I have two different Icons. I followed the directions to determine which application I had and the whole thing is worse. I work every day and really need this to be up and running for me. I paid 50.00 for this and I would appreciate it if I could get a call to clear up what is happening. I have done nothing that would have caused all this confusion . The one password on my iPhone still has my data. xxx xxx xxxx. I have written before with no support offered. The icon for the mini is gone

Hi @meberhard,
I'm sorry you're getting those errors when trying to open the 1Password app! As these forums are public, I've edited your message to remove your phone number, as well as the 3rd screenshot which also showed your phone number. We're a small team and don't have the means to provide inbound phone support, so we try our best to solve problems via forums or email if at all possible. A benefit of forum/email support is that it allows you to send us information (such as your screenshots) which cannot be sent over the phone, but which are extremely helpful for us. Thank you for including them in your message! I believe this issue should be pretty easy to fix.

I have written before with no support offered.I see that you posted on these forums a couple months ago for help with an error about backups, and that Megan responded to help you with that. We didn't hear back from you about whether or not that solved the problem. If you're still getting those errors about the backups, please feel free to reply to that thread to continue the discussion. But hopefully that issue was solved!

From your screenshots, I can see you have at least 3 copies of the 1Password app on your Mac, and that will definitely cause the error messages shown in those screenshots. On the Desktop, I see there are 2 copies named "1Password" and "1Password 9.38.15 PM" (there's also an alias to one of your copies of 1Password, although that alias file won't cause a problem). Also, in your second screenshot, the error message refers to another copy of 1Password located in the main Applications folder (which is where it should normally be).
The reason for the errors is because of a strange issue in Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) which causes it to open the wrong copy of 1Password mini. It can happen when Yosemite finds multiple copies of the 1Password app. To solve it, you'll need to delete the copies of 1Password from the Desktop by dragging them to the Trash (do not use any app cleaning utilities to do that), then empty the Trash. If it won't let you empty the Trash, please restart your Mac and try again to empty it. Now go to the Applications folder and try to open the 1Password app from there. Does it work?
If you still get either one of those errors at this point, it sounds like you have at least one more copy of the 1Password app somewhere on your Mac. For help to find and remove more extra copies, please see this knowledgebase article: How to remove multiple, conflicting copies of 1Password from your system
Does that help? Please let us know how it goes and if you have any questions about that. If you're still having trouble after those steps, we'll continue from there. Thanks!
