I downloaded from Agile Bits the Password 5. But it says I need to buy it from Apple store. Apple Store doesn't know I own it- says to pay $49.00. How do I get the correct version for my new MBP?

1Password 5.4.3 is 1Password for iOS but you have referred to OS X and posted in the 1P for Mac forum. Can you please confirm which version of 1Password you're having problems with (Mac or iOS). If it is in fact 1P for iOS I'll move the thread to the 1P for iOS forum for you. If it's the Mac version you're having problems with please tell us what version of 1P for Mac you are using.

@lvogt6900 after I answered your first post I came across the second one, which seems to be dealing with the same subject so I've merged both into one thread. It would help us if you can tell us your 1P for Mac password version as indicated in my previous post.
When you say:
it says I need to buy it from Apple store
do you mean you're trying to use iCloud sync?

Hi @lvogt6900,
I'm sorry for any confusion about all this! I searched for your email and see that today you purchased an upgrade to a 1Password 5 for Mac license from the AgileBits Store (thank you! :) ). You'll need to download 1Password 5 from our download site, and you can add your license file to it using a link in the license email you should have received after making the purchase. I've resent your license info to you just in case you need a new copy.
Apple doesn't currently provide a way to convert a license for the AgileBits Store version of 1Password to the Mac App Store version. So you won't be able to download 1Password from the Mac App Store unless you purchase that version separately. If you would rather have the Mac App Store version, please let us know and we can refund your purchase from the AgileBits Store within the next 30 days. However, please note that Apple doesn't give us the ability to do upgrade pricing on the Mac App Store, so you would need to buy 1Password 5 for Mac at the full price shown there.
If the reason you're asking about this is because you would like to use iCloud sync, you'll definitely need the Mac App Store version to do that. But keep in mind that the AgileBits Store version has Dropbox sync which is also a great sync option. It's how I have always synced my 1Password data, and many of my AgileBits colleagues do as well. 1Password is secure by design and your 1Password data is end-to-end encrypted, so with regard to security there's no difference between syncing 1Password data with Dropbox or iCloud. 1Password simply doesn't depend on the security of either to protect your data.
Dropbox also has the advantage that it can be used to share vaults with friends, family, and co-workers, whereas it's not currently possible to share anything between iCloud accounts. And it's the only single sync solution that works across all 1Password platforms: Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android.
I hope that helps, but if you have more questions (or if you'd like a refund for the AgileBits Store purchase) please let us know. We're always happy to help! :)
