Firefox will not allow 1Password 5 browser extension to install
I have a iMac 27" running OSX Yosemite v10.10.4.
Firefox v41.0b3 will not allow 1Password 5 v5.4.BETA-35 (540035) extension to install.
I attempted to install the browser extension by going to 1Password 5 file menu > Install Browser Extensions, which directed me to https://agilebits.com/onepassword/extensions.
I hit the big green button to install the extension, but I got the following message: "Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer."
When I clicked on "Allow", I get the following message: "Firefox has prevented this site from installing an unverified add-on. Learn more"
When I click on "learn more" it directs me to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct. On that page it states:
"What can I do if Firefox disables an installed, unsigned add-on?
If any of your installed add-ons gets disabled because it haven't been verified, contact the add-on developer or vendor to see if they can offer an updated and signed version of that add-on. You can also ask them to get their add-on signed by following the developer guidelines."
Clicking on "developer guidelines" links to... well... developer guidelines. One of the options on that page is to submit add-ons to Mozilla for approval.
Can you please submit your extension to Mozilla for approval, or provide instructions how to circumvent this issue in Firefox?

Greetings @GeeBanger,
Please let us know if you have any issues after following the link Stephen_C has helpfully supplied

The link advises to upgrade to the 1Password beta version. When you follow all the links it notes somewhere that to do so results in 1Password no longer syncing to iCloud.
I found it easier to install the current release "stable" Firefox v40.0.2 over the top of the Firefox beta version, then re-install the 1Password browser extension as previously described.
Firefox v40 gave a warning about the browser extension being unsigned, but it didn't prevent me from installing it.0 -

I'd be interested to know where you saw this. I can't see how the 1P browser extension would affect the ability of 1P to sync.

Hi @GeeBanger,
Are you possibly confusing the beta of the extension and the beta of our application? If you were a Mac App Store customer and using iCloud for syncing then yes, installing the beta version of the 1Password for Mac (AgileBits Store) would mean being unable to sync via iCloud as the beta cannot access the required frameworks. The extension though is quite separate and that's why the version numbering doesn't match up at all. So you can safely run 1Password for Mac (Mac App Store) with the beta 1Password Firefox Extension.
Of course, installing the stable version of Firefox works too and it does mean you get to avoid any of the issues of running a beta or dev version of the browser where they iron out the kinks.
