My my iphone and desktop master passwords are different. I do not remember why. Is this typical? I would like to change my iphone password to a stronger password and begin using the touch feature. Please advise.

    Hi @christina_agilebits,

If you're syncing via Dropbox your devices should use the same Master Password but on occasion something can seem to get gnarled up.

What I would recommend is to first create a test item on your Mac and make sure it synchronises to your iPhone. Once you've confirmed sync is working I would recommend changing your Master Password on your Mac and then turn your attention to the iPhone and follow these steps.

    1. Unlock 1Password for iOS using the old iPhone Master Password. This will allow 1Password for iOS to synchronise the changes including the new Master Password.
    2. In 1Password for iOS, go to Settings > Security > Lock Now.
    3. Unlock 1Password for iOS using the new Master Password that you set on your Mac. Once it successfully unlocks you know it has been set.
    4. With this stronger Master Password in place, you can also make use of the Touch ID feature.

Please do let us know if none of that behaves as expected and we'll try and figure out what's gone wrong.
