Licensing query - family split across Mac and Windows
Hi there, I'm ready to take the plunge with 1Password I think but not sure that I fully understand if the sharing option I'd like is possible:
Our family (all under one roof) consistent of me, my wife and our 2 children who are at that age where they are just starting to use the Internet.
I use a Mac (mostly) and a PC (occasionally). The rest of the family mostly use PC. We all have iOS devices (iPads, phones, iPod touch)
Will the joint Mac/Windows license at $70 allow all of us to operate across all platforms?
Vault sharing I can get to grips with, it's just the licensing aspect I'm not completely clear on.
Thanks for your help :-)
Tim

On the subject of security (lol) where on earth does the membership system pull that avatar pic from? I need to go change or remove that - very old :-)

If you buy the Mac/Windows bundle license, it will cover all the Macs and Windows machines for up to six people in the same household, no matter how many machines of each platform your family uses.
Now, because all licenses for AgileBits products are sold on a per user, per platform basis, each user will have to download his or her own copy for iOS devices. The basic version of 1Password for iOS is free for anyone to download and use in its basic form. However, there are more advanced, so-called Pro features that are accessed via an in-app purchase. One such purchase will be good on every iOS device that uses the same AppleID. However, because Apple precludes Family Sharing for in-app purchases, each of you who wants or needs the Pro features will have to pay for them. There's no way for family members with different AppleIDs to use one Pro license, the way they can with the desktop versions. More information about the Pro features can be found in the Pro Features FAQ.

Thanks for the very thorough reply, and pointing out the iOS restriction, much appreciated

Hi @Clockwork71,
So everything hawkmoth has told you is correct and I think he has your licensing query covered. If you still have any outstanding queries there though please do ask
As to the other part of your question, I believe it might have been pulled from a service called Gravatar, is that a plausible source of the picture?

Thanks again - yes I've purchased now - imported Lastpass data and just getting to grips with it all now.
Ah yes, Gravatar rings a bell, I'll go take a look at that.
