Security Questions Feature Request / Suggestion
It would be really nice if one could choose questions and fill out answers on the myriad security questions pages of various login sites and have 1password automatically capture all that and be able to fill it out.
I've seen others request this feature and Agile answer with "That's a good idea but hard to implement. We'll put it on the feature request list but no promises."
That's understood. So, I'd like to suggest maybe you can work on this in steps. Maybe you can't accomplish the whole thing all at once. Okay, fine. How about just some of it at first? You already can do identity information, drivers licenses and credit cards. Some of that logic should be applicable to this too, right?
So here is my suggestion for step #1. The most difficult thing about the security questions page is recording the questions and answers. You basically have to do it before you hit enter, otherwise it is lost. I'll often times take a screenshot of it before hitting enter, but sometimes the answers are obfuscated as if they were passwords. And, I always use the password generator with pronounceable passwords when answering them.
So, how about adding a menu selectable action to capture all form fields on a page and saving it? Even if it isn't perfect, we could then go in and edit the fields making them the proper type of custom field.
Thanks

Hi @kazooless,
Oddly enough you might be able to do something like this already. For troublesome login pages one of the first things we suggest is to create a new Login item by following our How to manually save a Login guide. I have a particular page where I fill in 5 text fields, none of which are passwords and I created it using that guide.
The issue with pages like these is that you often get asked a randomised selection of the questions rather then the same selection in the same order and that's where the problems occur. With items like Identities and Credit Cards we've built up a small list of things we expect to see and things we shouldn't see as thankfully many of these pages are similar but even then it's still a case of educated guessing. We have less to go on with the security questions.
I can't think of a site off the top of my head to try this manually save a Login item trick with but I'd be intrigued to know if it works with the site that you're thinking of. My own approach is I add a Security section to the actual Login item and use a field per question. That way the fields are easy to copy but I can understand why you would like to see something a bit more automated.
Sadly I doubt the process will capture the questions themselves but I could be wrong, I suspect how the page is created will mean the title and ID for the fields will bear no relation to the question.
